TTeam manager Thomas Tuchel narrowly missed out on winning the group in the Champions League with defending champion Chelsea FC. The “Blues”, who had already qualified for the round of 16, only managed to score 3: 3 (1: 2) against Russian champions Zenit St. Petersburg despite two goals from national player Timo Werner on the last day of the group due to a last-minute goal.
At the same time, Juventus Turin, who were tied on points, took advantage of the slip of the Londoners and moved past Chelsea to the top with a 1-0 (1-0) against Malmö FF. Moise Kean (18th) scored the decisive goal for the old lady.
The outstanding Werner put Chelsea in the lead at minus 12 degrees in St. Petersburg (and a heated stadium with a closed roof) with the club’s fastest goal in the history of the premier class after just 83 seconds.
