Kyiv city authorities ordered the emergency evacuation of two hospitals in the Ukrainian capital amid fears of a possible Russian missile attack triggered by a video circulating on the Internet, DPA reported.

“This is related to a video circulating on social media predicting an enemy attack on these medical facilities,” Kyiv authorities announced. In the video, it is hinted that there are military personnel in the hospitals,” they explained. “This is a complete lie and a provocation by the enemy, who is trying to exploit it for an attack on the social infrastructure of the capital,” added the statement of the Kyiv authorities.

Patients are transferred to other medical facilities.

According to the statement, one of the affected hospitals is the Obolon Children’s Hospital in the northern part of Kyiv.

The authorities in the Ukrainian capital specified who the source of the video was.

At the same time, the head of the Belarusian KGB Ivan Tertel made a statement that “they hid” fighters behind the backs of the children in the two medical facilities, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

“Without a doubt, all of them will suffer their deserved punishment, despite the fact that they chose Kyiv hospitals as their lair,” he said in a speech broadcast live by the Belarusian news agency BelTA.

In his statement, Tertel also mentioned the addresses of the two hospitals.

There are no Belarusian troops involved in the fighting in Ukraine, but Minsk is closely allied with Moscow, and Belarusian territory has been used by Russia as one of the staging grounds for a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
