The organization Yo Sí Te Creo in Cuba confirmed two new femicides on the island, highlighting the worrying trend of violent deaths of women in suspicious circumstances and which, as usual, are not of interest to the dictatorship.

It was through its Facebook account that the platform specified the cases and regretted what happened.

“We regret two new cases of feminicide in Cuba, involving older women, and we reiterate the alert due to the increase in violent deaths of women in dubious conditions,” expressed the organization.

The first case reported is that of Paulina Collazo Diago, whose body was found in Los Arabos, Matanzas, after having disappeared between February 27 and March 14.

The organization described this unfortunate event as a femicide perpetrated with extreme violence.

The second of these confirmed femicides is that of María, a 92-year-old woman, the victim of her own son-in-law in Lawton, Diez de Octubre, Havana.

“Unfortunate events that happened on March 3 in the home they both shared”the source reported.

In addition, YSTCC mentions the death of nurse Samantha (Sami) Heredia Odrens, in circumstances yet to be clarified, which also occurred on March 3 in Santiago de Cuba.

“Our condolences go to her family and the numerous friends and patients who mourn her on social networks,” added the organization.

Given this, it is important to emphasize that, as of recent days, 14 femicides have already been recorded and five cases pending police investigation.

Currently, alerts are being investigated in several provinces, including Santiago de Cuba, Manzanillo, Granma, Ciego de Ávila and two in Havana.

The wave of femicides in the country only grows, and while women suffer brutal sexist violence, the regime insists on persecuting those who call for an end to a nightmare that seems endless.
