Mayiladuthurai: Two persons involved in serial criminal activities in Sirkazhi area have been arrested under the Gangster Act.
Viswanathan’s son Dinesh from Kondal village near Sirkazhi, Mayiladuthurai district. 24, Purana Chandran alias Katai Raja, son of Manokaran from Vlanthida Samudram village near Sirkazhi. 25. Both of them have been arrested by the police and lodged in Nagapattinam jail due to their continuous involvement in various criminal activities in Sirkazhi area.
In this case, the SP of Mayiladuthurai district, following their involvement in activities that disturb public order and public peace in Sirkazhi area. On Nisha’s recommendation, Collector Lalita arrested the two under the Anti-Hooliganism Act and ordered them to be lodged in Trichy Central Jail.
Following this, Sirkazhi police took both Dinesh and Poorna Chandran from Nagapattinam jail to Trichy Central Jail. He gave the copy to the prison officer.
