Tyler, The Creator Set to Return to Grammy Stage with Dual Album Nominations
The 68th Annual Grammy Awards are poised to welcome back Tyler, The Creator, who will perform on Sunday, February 1st, as his critically acclaimed albums, CHROMAKOPIA and DON’T TAP THE GLASS, vie for top honors across multiple categories.
The Recording Academy confirmed on Thursday, January 29th, that the celebrated rapper will take the stage at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena, broadcast live on CBS and Paramount+ at 8 p.m. ET. This performance marks a significant return for the artist, building anticipation among fans eager to witness his latest musical showcase.
Given the breadth of his nominated work, expectations are high that Tyler will perform selections from both CHROMAKOPIA and DON’T TAP THE GLASS. Adding to the excitement, speculation is mounting about a potential collaboration with fellow performers Clipse and Pharrell. The rap duo shares the track “P.O.V.” with Tyler, while Pharrell, known professionally as Skateboard P, contributed to last year’s “Big Poe.” Such a collaboration would underscore the interconnectedness of the contemporary music landscape and highlight key partnerships within the industry.
CHROMAKOPIA has received nominations for Album of the Year, Best Rap Album, and Best Album Cover, solidifying its position as a frontrunner in the rap category. The project’s singles, “Darling, I” and “Sticky,” are also in contention for Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song, respectively. “Sticky” notably features contributions from GloRilla, Sexyy Red, and Lil Wayne, further amplifying its appeal.
Meanwhile, DON’T TAP THE GLASS is competing in the Best Alternative Music Album category against a diverse field of nominees, including Hayley Williams’ Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party, Bon Iver’s SABLE, fABLE, and Wet Leg’s moisturizer. This nomination demonstrates Tyler, The Creator’s versatility and his ability to transcend genre boundaries.
The 2026 Grammy Awards performer lineup already boasts a stellar roster of artists, including Justin Bieber, Lauryn Hill, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas, Lola Young, Post Malone, ROSÉ, and Sabrina Carpenter.
Looking beyond the Grammys, Tyler, The Creator is set to embark on a series of high-profile festival appearances. He will headline Lollapalooza in Chile, Argentina, and Brazil in March, and will also serve as the headlining act for All Points East 2026 in August.
