The “Uberization” of our society continues to increase. During this end-of-year holiday season, when around six million Christmas trees will be sold, the American platform Uber Eats is launching into the delivery of conifers.

The home delivery giant is teaming up with Monceau Fleurs to deliver “for the very first time this famous Christmas tree [… ]from December 1 to 17 inclusive for all Parisians, from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. from Monday to Friday and on weekends from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.,” specifies the company in a communiqué. Delivery in 45 minutes is also promised by the brand.

As you will have understood, this new offer is only aimed at residents of the capital, partly at those who cannot or do not want to transport the conifer to their homes, avoiding for example having to transport it to the Subway.

Two Nordmanns at 50 and 60 euros

Uber Eats offers two traditional Christmas trees that have “dark green, shiny foliage, a regular shape and shed very few needles.” A Nordmann 125 x 150 cm priced at 49.99 euros and another Nordmann 150 x 175 cm priced at 59.99 euros, with free delivery.

Uber Eats is offering two Christmas trees for home delivery.

Among natural Christmas trees, the Nordmann remains the favorite of the French since it represents 77.9% of the market share, specifies theFrench Natural Christmas Tree Association (AFSNN).

The press release would like to point out that Monceau fleurs offers fir trees “grown in France and Belgium from producers carefully selected for their know-how and their commitment to saving forests. » Indeed, the Monceau fir trees are labeled with the MPS or “Plante Bleue” label, two labels guarantee that horticulturists are committed to protecting the environment.
