Uganda makes history by qualifying for T20 World Cup
Uganda has created history by qualifying for the T20 World Cup, jointly hosted by the United States and the West Indies. The team reached the World Cup after winning the Africa Qualifier, making it the first time in history that Uganda has qualified for an ICC big event.
Uganda will be the 20th team to play in the World Cup, marking the fifth African country to participate in the tournament. The other teams from Africa to play in the World Cup are South Africa, Zimbabwe, Kenya, and Namibia.
In another exciting development, Ugandan star Alpesh Ramjani has been nominated for the ICC T20 Player of the Year award. This nomination marks the first time in history that an Associate player has been shortlisted for the ICC Player of the Year in any format.
