A mass grave containing around 440 corpses has been found in a forested area in the town of Isium that was recaptured from the Russian forces.
Following the Bucha Nagar incident, Ukrainian President Zelensky has accused Russian forces of massacring in Issyam as well.
The dead may have been killed by Russian forces’ artillery and airstrikes, according to the Kharkiv regional police chief.
While all the bodies will be exhumed and sent for forensic examination, the UN plans to send a team to investigate.
