New Delhi: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has instructed Indian citizens to leave Ukraine in the wake of the escalating situation of Russian occupation. The ministry said Indian citizens and all students of Ukraine should leave the country as soon as possible, except for emergencies.

This is the second time the Ministry of External Affairs has issued a warning to Indian citizens. Earlier, the Center had directed Indian nationals and students to leave the country in the wake of US warnings of war between the two countries. The ministry has asked to stay away from Ukraine temporarily.

The center has informed the embassy that it will leave Ukraine on board the available passenger and chartered flights. Embassy staff may also be withdrawn from Ukraine soon. Apart from India, Germany and Austria have also instructed their citizens to leave Ukraine.

Meanwhile, the problem between Ukraine, Russia and Belarus is getting worse again. The military exercise, which Russia announced last Sunday that everything was over, has resumed. The PTI reports that around 1.5 million troops and warplanes are encircling three parts of Ukraine, along with other equipment.

The other day, two Ukrainian soldiers were killed in clashes between Ukraine and Russian-backed rebels. This led to the evacuation of several people in the eastern part of Ukraine.

Meanwhile, Ukraine called on Russia to hold talks to restore peace as the issue escalates. The president of Ukraine told a security conference in Munich that he could find a place to resolve the issue. But Russia has not yet responded to Ukraine’s demand.
