Ukraine-Russia war, live: last minute of Putin’s military offensive, Zelensky, bombing, nuclear alert

The Russian authorities reported on Monday the explosion of a drone in the vicinity of the city of Kaluga, 200 kilometers south of Moscow. “At five o’clock in the morning, in a forest near the city, a drone exploded at a height of 50 meters,” wrote the local governor, Vladislav Shapsha. He added that the incident has caused no damage or casualties. It is not the first time that unmanned devices have been detected in that Russian region. Last October, a drone landed in a Kaluga military airfield and another was shot down by Russian anti-aircraft defenses. Shapsha indicated on that occasion that the device that fell on the territory of the military installation “probably came from the border.”
