The UN Food and Agriculture Organization has warned that the war between Ukraine and Russia has severed the grain supply chain to Europe and threatens global food prices.
Russia recently announced that it would suspend food shipments to the European and Asian Economic Community until August. As a result, the supply of grain to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus and Armenia has been disrupted.
Speaking at the UN. The Food Association official said Russia and Ukraine accounted for 30 percent of global wheat supplies, and that food prices would resonate in the coming days as both countries suspended supplies due to the war.
