Russian reconnaissance aircraft violated the order of using the airspace, having flown into an area that Ukraine had reserved for its exercises, the Ukrainian Air Force Command reports. The command did not specify which exercises in question.

“In the area of ​​live firing of anti-aircraft missile forces of the Air Force and Air Defense Forces of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Black Sea, reconnaissance aircraft of the Russian Federation of the Su-24MR and Il-20 type grossly violated the procedure for using the airspace, repeatedly flying into the restricted area, which Ukraine has reserved for the exercise, ”the command said on Facebook.

The report says the Russian planes were crossing the combat areas at which the Ukrainian military fired anti-aircraft guided missiles.

Military exercises – Combined Efforts-2021 (“United Efforts-2021”) are being held on the territory of Ukraine from September 22 to September 30. They are attended by 15 countries, including 11 NATO member states. Combined Efforts-2021 are held at all major military training grounds, as well as in the waters of the Black and Azov Seas.
