The United Janata Dal (UJD) has stated that it has decided to support the BJP to rule Manipur in the interest of the people.

The BJP has retained power in the Manipur state assembly elections with a simple majority. The BJP won 32 of the 60 seats. With the new BJP-led government in power, the BJP has the support of six United Janata Dal MLAs.
The United Janata Dal (UJD) has said that it has decided to support the BJP to rule Manipur in the interest of the people.
All the six newly elected MLAs in the United Janata Dal party have elected Kumkum Joykisan Singh as the Assembly Committee Chairman.
