The Dimensity 9400 will use the new TSMC 3nm architecture as announced at the end of last year. This time it will use a 3-Cluster 8-Core CPU, divided into
- 1 strong core Cortex-X5
- 3 Cortex-X4 performance cores
- 4 central cores Cortex-A720
The Dimensity 9400 still uses the same All-Big Core format. Notice that the lightest one is still Cortex-A720, but Cortex-X5 has been added for heavy processing instead. Compared to Dimensity 9300, it should be clearly stronger. As for RAM, it still supports up to LPDDR5T for faster data retrieval in AI processing.
In terms of performance, with 3nm production compared to the original 5nm, it will be more than 18% stronger at using the same power. Or you can manage energy up to 32% better with the same efficiency. As for calculations or AI, it will be 60% better.
