The Big Knife Fire, located five miles east of Arlee, has seen significant growth since our previous report. The Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes Division of Fire now estimates the fire to have spread across approximately 75 acres.

In response to the escalating situation, multiple resources have been deployed to combat the blaze. Several helicopters and Single Engine Air Tankers have been mobilized, alongside a team of 10 smokejumpers. Their primary objective is to contain the fire and prevent further damage.
