“Abortions can be carried out in the state, a hearing has been set for July 8,” reads an email released by the Center for Reproductive Rights, after the judge’s decision. The appeal asks to clarify the effects of “trigger laws” previously approved in Florida, as well as in other states, to trigger the automatic ban on abortion in the event of a decision to this effect by the Supreme Court. It is also required to determine what options exist for life-saving interventions that involve an abortion.
