The police with the Ohio Department of Education in the USA are investigating a home schooling network that claims public schools are run by “Zionist scum”, the home network teaches children to say “Zig Heil” (Nazi salute) and instructs other parents not to give their children “Jewish media content”.

These are the over 2,500 members of the “Dissident Homeschool Network”, a channel on the Telegram social network application. The “resisters” are a group of Nazi parents who run a homeschooling curriculum extolling the virtues of Hitler and white nationalism.

The group’s founders were recently exposed by a hate group monitor as a couple in rural Upper Sandusky, Ohio. “Hateful, divisive and hurtful teaching has no place in Ohio’s schools, including our state’s homeschooling community,” Stephanie Sidan, interim superintendent of public instruction for the Ohio Department of Education, told Vice News. “I categorically and categorically condemn the racist, anti-Semitic and fascist ideology and materials being disseminated.”

Since the group formed in October 2021 it has openly embraced Nazi ideology and promoted white supremacy, while proudly discouraging parents from allowing their white children to play with or associate with people of any other race. Managers and members use racist and anti-Semitic slurs without shame, and daily quote Hitler and other Nazi leaders on a channel open to the public.

However, what is even more disturbing is that the couple who run the channel not only teach parents how to indoctrinate their children into this fascist ideology, they also encourage them to meet in real life and join even more extreme groups, which can further strengthen their beliefs and potentially push them into action violent

Ohio Governor Mike DeWayne, along with other politicians, issued statements condemning the group. But Ohio officials say there is very little oversight of homeschooling by the state board of education. Although homeschooling parents are required to submit copies of their lesson plans to the state, the county clerk who oversees the area where the Lawrences live told HuffPost, “Parents who decide to homeschool their child are responsible for choosing the curriculum and path.”

“We invest so much to make sure our child becomes a wonderful Nazi,” the network’s founder, who goes by the pseudonym “Mrs. Saxon,” said recently on a neo-Nazi podcast promoting the group. The journalists and researchers who reported on this, were able to locate the couple after they revealed that they owned a German Shepherd named Blondie, the name of Hitler’s dog.

The woman who runs the network, Katia Lawrence, who is in her mid-30s, launched the channel in October 2021 because she “had a hard time finding approved Nazi material for her homeschooling children,” as she told the neo-Nazi podcast Achtung (Caution). Last year.

There are special recommended texts with advice such as “don’t give them Jewish media content”, and there are tips to ensure that homeschooling parents comply with “full compliance with the law” so that “the state” does not interfere.

When the Telegram channel reached its 1,000th subscriber, just months after its launch, Katya Lawrence posted a photo of German schoolchildren performing a Nazi salute in class, writing: “It fills my heart with joy to know that there is such a strong base of homeschoolers and homeschoolers, Peace and victory.”

The Lawrences also described how their family celebrated Hitler’s birthday by baking a “Führer cake”.

“We had a lovely dinner, our children celebrated Adolf’s birthday today by learning about Germany and eating favorite German foods.” She added that she has baked “quite a few swastika items, my latest being a swastika apple pie.”
