WhatsApp, the most used messaging application in the world – and of course among Cubans – has made some changes to the platform that can facilitate its use and improve the experience of those who have more than one phone to attend to per day.
Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of the company Meta (owner of WhatsApp), announced that from now on you can have two active accounts of the instant messaging platform on the same mobile phone, without having to use another device.
The best thing is that you also don’t have to change sessions.
“What’s better than having a WhatsApp account? Well, have two, of course,” the official statement said.
Although this possibility arrives a few years later than in Telegram, the latter is not as widespread in the national territory and much less in work or business environments. WhatsApp reigns there and it is these people who benefit the most.
The function already existed on the company’s other social networks such as Instagram, but when it comes to WhatsApp it changes the rules of the game. In addition, you will not have to log out every time you stop using one.
How to use the new WhatsApp feature?
First, you need a second phone number and a SIM card, on a phone that accepts multiple SIMs or eSIM.
Then, you have to open the application settings and select the User tab to open the “Open account” option. Once the initial verification is completed, both accounts are up and running.
In a few steps you can access this improvement, although it is also recommended to check if you should update the application to have the latest version of it.
How will using two WhatsApp accounts help?
First of all, the company that owns WhatsApp comments that there will be no more worrying about sending messages from the wrong account.
In addition, by having two accounts on the same phone, those who have busy work days answering several people from different numbers will have their work easier.
As if that were not enough, if a person has a WhatsApp account for work and another personal account, from now on they will be able to review both on the same phone and in the same application, without installing third-party tools that compromise privacy.
