Every year … the Spanish health system collapses. Despite a vaccination rate of 90.4 percent among those over twelve years of age, which is hardly anywhere else in the European Union, the Omikron wave hits the country on the Iberian Peninsula hard. On Tuesday, the Ministry of Health reported for the first time an incidence of over 3,000 new infections in the last 14 days in 100,000 residents. The seven-day incidence is 1,462. In the latest Covid report from the Ministry of Health, 247 more deaths were counted than the previous day. In total, just over 90,000 people have died of Covid in Spain so far.
