Minister of Medicine and People’s Welfare Ma Subramaniam inspected the Vaccination Center at Kuttambakkam Panchayat near Wellavedu next to Tiruvallur yesterday.

Following this, the Minister visited the houses in the Kuttambakkam area directly and checked the details of the vaccinators and distributed leaflets to create awareness among the general public about the immunization enhancement vaccine.

1 lakh 62 thousand 631 persons

Later Minister Ma Subramaniam told reporters: –

Under the guidance of First Minister MK Stalin, First Minister MK Stalin launched a special campaign in Chennai on the 10th to provide booster vaccinations to more than 600 health workers, front line personnel and those over 60 years of age with co-morbidities. So far 1 lakh 62 thousand 631 people have been vaccinated against booster.

As of yesterday, 5 lakh 52 thousand 754 people have been identified as eligible for booster dose vaccination.

It is expected to touch the target of Rs 10 lakh by the end of this month. So mega camps are being held every Thursday at 600 locations in Tamil Nadu to complete the task of paying booster dose to 10 lakh people by the end of this month.

75.6 percent of children

Vaccination is a movement in Tamil Nadu. So far 4 lakh 47 thousand 753 centers have been vaccinated through 18 camps. As a result, 3 crore 32 lakh 64 thousand 751 people have been vaccinated through 18 mega camps. Mega vaccination camps are scheduled to be held in 50,000 places across Tamil Nadu next Saturday.

Vaccination work is in progress in Tiruvallur district. Of that, 88.6 per cent were vaccinated with the first dose and 63.4 per cent with the second vaccine.

In Tiruvallur district, 75.6 per cent children have been vaccinated against corona. Therefore, Tiruvallur district is doing this work in parallel with other districts in the process of giving booster vaccine. Therefore, all members of the public should be vaccinated and co-operate with the government to create a corona-free state, he said.

Tiruvallur District Collector Dr. Alby John Varghese, MLAs Krishnasami and Ganapathy, Deputy Chairman of the District Panchayat Committee Kothiyambakkam Desingu, Associate Directors of Health Vinay Kumar, Sampath, Tiruvallur Government Hospital and Medical College Principal Arasisrivatsav, Deputy Director of Health Services Senthilkumar, were present on the occasion. Ilangovan, Kuthambakkam Panchayat President Rajasekaran, Vice President Usha Nandini Varadarajan and many others were present.
