Before the show, the creative director, Pierpaolo Picciolihad already revealed some information about his vision, explaining that the show would be perceived by everyone as a personal experience.

In addition to people from the fashion industry and fashion editors, who eagerly awaited Piccioli’s creations, the show also attracted several A-list celebritiesmuses of the art director and Hollywood stars, who attracted the photo clicks of the reporters.

Unlike past over-the-top seasons, for the Spring / Summer 2024 the couture collection “The living room” proposed a renewed logic, utilizing the contemporary look of the designer, without however losing its status for a moment. Although the creations that passed in front of the A-list guests could easily be worn, with a wink to quiet luxury aesthetics, the truth is that in the end these apparently simple pieces were much more complicated than they seemed. As another “wizard”, Piccioli stated that “you don’t need to feel the weight of the technique and the handmade, because after all haute couture is about the illusion of the effortless. […] The technique must disappear so that the magic is not lost – a magician remains a magician until he reveals his secrets.”

In essence, he preferred to move away from difficult ideas and complex interpretations and contented himself with showing reality and the sense we have of it.bringing the concept of couture into our time. After all, he himself stated that the area of haute couture is for him a field for “instinctive expression of the desire to create”, therefore he channeled all his talent into reinventing wardrobe essentials such as hoodies, blazers and jackets and effortlessly placing them in the realm of haute couture. The haute couture part of course was found in the unexpected combinations of the creator, in the pink pants with the feather top, in the opera gloves, in the special shapes of the dresses and skirts, in the masterful silhouettes, in the innovative handmade details (see tiny organza that looked with wings) but also in the naked items that looked like a second skin for the models.

Of course, the element that would not be missing from his collection, apart from the fact that his pieces touch the perfection of the art of tailoring, was the attention to shades, masterfully creating the most impressive color-blockings. The creator’s “obsession” with color compositions not only has it become synonymous with the brand’s identity and starts new color trends, but it manages to become the element that will “take off” in every collection. However, the fantastic thing about this collection is that no matter how many times you watch it, every time you will see something new that is very interesting. It is what you see, but at the same time it is something else. Absolute magic.
