Two Hospitalized After Vehicle Collision in Van Nuys

A vehicle crash in Van Nuys, California, on Friday left two individuals hospitalized, with one listed in critical condition. The incident, which occurred near the intersection of Victory Boulevard and sepulveda Boulevard, prompted a rescue operation and a police examination into the cause of the accident.
The Los Angeles Police Department reported the collision took place at approximately 1:39 p.m. First responders arrived to find an overturned vehicle, suggesting a significant impact. The crash involved a single vehicle, a silver sedan, that veered off the road and struck a light pole before rolling over. Both occupants were trapped inside.
Dramatic Rescue Following van Nuys Crash
NewsChopper4 aerial footage captured the scene, revealing the extent of the damage to the vehicle. According to police,both occupants were successfully rescued from the wreckage by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel using hydraulic rescue tools,often called the “Jaws of Life.” They were instantly transported to Northridge Hospital Medical Center for medical attention.
“The impact appeared ample, leading to the vehicle’s rollover,” a law enforcement source stated.
Condition of Victims Remains Uncertain
While authorities confirmed that one of the victims is currently in critical condition, suffering from head trauma and internal injuries, details regarding the ages and genders of those involved have not yet been released. The second victim sustained moderate injuries. Officials are working to notify next of kin before disclosing further personal information.
