We learn from the message issued by the General Prosecutor’s Office.
“Today, the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan received the delegation led by Patrick Svensson, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Armenia.
Anna Vardapetyan welcomed the ambassador to the General Prosecutor’s Office and highlighted the importance of working meetings in this format, which contribute to the strengthening of cooperation between the prosecutor’s offices of the two countries and the resolution of important issues.
The Prosecutor General presented to the ambassador the priority directions of the Prosecutor’s Office, distinguishing the fight against illegal enrichment, money laundering, corruption and cybercrimes, protection of state interests, improvement of the “young” institute for confiscation of property of illegal origin, fight against abuses in the mining industry, etc.
The Ambassador expressed the support of the Kingdom of Sweden to the work of the General Prosecutor’s Office in the above-mentioned directions and was interested in actions aimed at increasing the confidence of citizens and businesses in the notification system, adding that companies with Swedish capital are interested in the prospect of investing in Armenia and conducting business activities. Anna Vardapetyan, providing the ambassador with information about the activities of the platform, emphasized that protecting honest business is one of the priorities of the General Prosecutor’s Office.
During the meeting, the perspectives of cooperation in the field of educational and technical support were discussed.”
