Vijay’s Waris, which was released as a Pongal release, is gearing up for an OTT release. The action-packed film has already collected around Rs 300 crore from the box office. Many fans are waiting for the OTT release of the film three weeks after its theatrical release. Amazon Prime Video has acquired the digital rights of Vijay’s film. The Indian reports that Waaris will start airing on OTT on February 22. Filmed in Tamil and Telugu, Waris will also be available in Malayalam and Kannada. Sun Network has acquired the satellite rights of the film. According to reports, the film may go on air on Sun TV by April.
Vijay plays the role of Vijay Rajendran in the film directed by Vamshi Paidipally. South Indian actress Rashmika Mandana has appeared as the heroine of Vijay in the film. Sarath Kumar plays the role of Vijay’s father. The film is produced by Dil Raju and Sirish under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Creations.

Vijay Rajendran is an app designer in the film. Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Sham, Srikanth, Khushbu, Yogi Babu, Jayasudha, Sangeeta Krish, Samyuktha Shanmuganathan, Nandini Rai, Ganesh Venkataraman, Sriman, V.T. Ganesan, John Vijay, Bharat Reddy and Sanjana are other actors in the film.
The script of the film has been prepared by Hari and Ahishor Solomon along with the director. Additional screenplay is composed by lyricist Vivek. The songs in the film have already gained attention. After Waris, Vijay’s next film is with Lokesh Kanakaraj. It is also reported that after Thalapathy 67, Vijay 68 will be paired with cricketer Dhoni.
