WHILE, Waspada.co.id – The Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) of North Sumatra Province (Sumut) has again reduced Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) in North Sumatra.

This tax reduction will take place from 21 October to 31 December 2024. This is to provide relief for the public to pay PKB which is in arrears due to fines.

This whitening of the PKB is based on Regulation of the Governor of North Sumatra number 27 of 2024, concerning the Granting of Reductions and Exemptions on Basic Motor Vehicle Tax Administration in 2024.

Langkat Prison Prisoner Demands Death Penalty

The Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Belawan District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari), demanded the death penalty against Sayed Abdillah (27), a convict (convict) who was charged with controlling 11 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine from inside the Langkat Class IIA Narcotics Prison.

North Sumatra Regional Police Continue Security for 2024 Regional Elections

North Sumatra Police Chief, Inspector General Whisnu Hermawan Februanto, said the inauguration of the President and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka had been completed in Jakarta.

“The security and social security situation in North Sumatra, based on reports and monitoring results from the North Sumatra Regional Police Operations Agency, is running very conducive,” he said, Monday (21/10).

Whisnu explained that Operation Mantap Brata (OMP) 2024 to secure the 2024 Presidential and Vice Presidential elections had officially ended. However, the North Sumatra Regional Police and their ranks are continuing Operation Mantap Praja (OMP) to secure the 2024 regional head elections (Pilkada) in the North Sumatra region.
