This new edition of the Festival, a platform of political and poetic resistance, will continue to defend the idea that Theatre, Art and Culture must safeguard their mission of public service; will be a hypnotic and vibrant laboratory of scenic creation, an essential reference as an outpost of heroic utopias and revolutionary marvels, and will be draped in green emeraldwhose symbolic horizon will indicate the moment of a profound change, of a transformation, of a transition to a new phase of life: regeneration after winter, revitalization, resurrection, rebirth and freedom of being human.
The program The Magic Wand of Armando Punch trace the splendor in the darkness of prisons; the flying brooms of the FC Bergman they fly over the galleries of the Royal Museum of Antwerp to photograph the absurdity of our lives; the herbarium of Tiago Rodrigues it dissects ideas about individual freedom versus mass freedom; the sonic spells of Federica Rosellinimerged with the cabal of James Garaffonichallenge each other in single combat with the oceanic ones of Fabiana Iacozzilliwhich governs the dematerializations of Djokovic pushes, establishing an unbreakable vow; the spell of a deep sleep is torn apart by the moral incantations of Boris Nikitin; the metamorphic hippogriffs of Romeo Castellucci fly over the necromantic Milky Way of Bashar Murkus; the immortal elf of Gaetano Palermo gets lost among the levitating objects of Morana Novosel; the maps in transformation through which the questions of Matthias Anderson reveal numbers for arithmancy a The Count of Torrefiel; the parselmouth of Valerio Leoni comfort the path in the dark forest of Noemie Goudal e Maelle Poesy in search of the philosopher’s stone.
