Since its creation in 2017 by the Bayard group, the Center des monuments nationaux, the Crea (founder of the Folles Journées de Nantes) and the Manche department, the festival Via Eterna cultivates loyalty as well as novelty.
To celebrate the millennium of Mont-Saint-Michel, this new edition mixes repertoires and artists, from medieval music to contemporary creation, in the West and elsewhere. As for the concert venues, as always, they invite you to discover the wonders of the bay (Ardevon, Avranches, Cancale, Carolles, Dragey-Ronthon, Genêts, Granville, La Lucerne-d’Outremer, La Selle-en-Coglès, Pontorson, Saint-Pair-sur-Mer, Val-Couesnon), before the last Sunday when all the meetings converge on the Mont itself.

Regulars will be happy to find the formidable vocal trio Les Itinérantes, whose The hour of the dream already promises moments suspended between dream and reality, sweetness and flame (October 5, Saint-Pair-sur-Mer at 8:30 p.m.).
As for Philippe Pierlot’s Ricercar Consort, which, to the delight of the public, consistently takes part in Via Aeterna, it will invest the superb abbey of Lucerne (12 October at 8.30 p.m.) with a program devoted to Heinrich Schütz (1585 -1672), master of the first German Baroque and precursor of Johann Sebastian Bach.
