The objective of this project is to design an open and European web tool for monitoring physical condition to provide useful information mainly to physical education teachers, but also to schoolchildren and their families as a means to improve the level of knowledge about the importance of maintaining a physically active lifestyle throughout life.
The event takes place at the School of Medicine, and delegates from the member universities of the project consortium are attending. In the two days of meetings, different sessions will be dedicated to the development of the web tool, as well as the planning of an intervention study in schools in several European countries, including Spain, Slovenia, Croatia, Estonia, Italy, Serbia. , Portugal and Finland.
The Fit4Literacy project is coordinated by the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia) and has the participation of eight other European universities: University of Granada (Spain), University of Zagreb (Croatia), University of Tartu (Estonia), Free University of Bolzano (Italy), University of Belgrade (Serbia), University of Jyväskylä (Finland), University of Lisbon (Portugal), University of Montenegro Podgorica (Montenegro), University of Luxembourg (Luxembourg).
In addition, it has six associated institutions: European Physical Education Association (EUPEA, Denmark), International Sports and Cultural Association (ISCA, Belgium), Finnish Association of Physical and Health Educators (Finland), International Association of Higher Education Physical Education (ASBL, Belgium), Serbian Association of Teachers of Physical Education and Sport (Serbia), European Council for Research in Physical Education and Sport (Luxembourg).
The initiative has a subsidy for the amount of €400,000, from the 2022 call for the Erasmus+ program, ERASMUS-SPORT-2022-SCP, and is one of the sixteen Erasmus+ projects in which the University of Granada participate in the 2022 call.
