WIEN. Commercial Councilor (often abbreviated KmzlR, KommR or KmR, rarely just KR) is a professional title in Austria that is awarded on an honorary basis to members of the business community who have rendered services to the Republic of Austria in their long-standing professions.
As part of a musical event organized by the Vienna Chamber of Commerce (WKO Vienna), the successful entrepreneur and WKO Vienna official Ali Celik was awarded the professional title of Commercial Councilor today. In addition to Çelik, five other people were awarded this title and two other entrepreneurs were awarded the Great Silver Medal of Honor by the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. Meinhard Eckl, Director of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, and Kasia Greco, Member of the State Parliament and City Councilor of the City of Vienna as well as Vice President of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, jointly awarded the title of Commercial Councilor to Ali Celik. The warm and friendly congratulations from the WKO Vienna Vice President and Trade Division Chairwoman Margarete Gumprecht and food industry, Vienna regional guild, managing director Klaus Puza couldn’t be avoided.

WKO Vienna Director Eckl: “Exemplary entrepreneurial activity and performance”
Meinhard Eckl, Director of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, presented Ali Çelik with the title of Commercial Councilor and spoke about Çelik’s successful entrepreneurial career in Vienna. More specifically, about his training as a civil engineer in Turkey and his achievements in the business world over the last 35 years since his arrival in Vienna.
Eckl, who praised Celik’s exemplary work in economic and social life, said in his speech: “In addition to his achievements as an entrepreneur, Mr. Ali Çelik also invested in the only customs building at the Vienna wholesale market and provided the Viennese population with services in the field of fresh vegetables and fresh fruits. As an exemplary entrepreneur with his exemplary work in the social sector, Ali Çelik has also drawn attention to himself with great success through his function as an elected member of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce. We would like to thank him for his many years of work as an exemplary entrepreneur in this area for his commitment to society and the economy by awarding him the title of Commercial Councilor with the signature of the President of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, Mr. DI Walter Ruck, and my humble self and the corresponding committee. In addition to Alli Celik, the following people received the professional title: KommR Ing. Johann Klein, KommR Ing. Christian Lauder, KommR Mag. Wolfgang Schroll and KommR Alfred Weichselberger. The recipients of the Great Silver Medal of Honor are KommR Andreas Ubl and Mag. Karl Wiesflecker.

On the occasion of the awarding of the title of Commercial Councilor, Ali Celik commented to the Neue Heimat Zeitung (Yeni Vatn Gazetesi) as follows: “It is a good and beautiful day for my family, friends and colleagues. I would like to thank the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, my wife, my children, my employees and our friends in the WKO Vienna of all colors, who have not left us alone to this day and have warmly supported and motivated us. I appreciate that. I will be even more motivated to work constructively and goal-orientedly for our new home in Vienna as an entrepreneur and official in the WKO Vienna with my friends and companions. In 2021, Çelik was awarded the “Golden Brand”.
On October 20, 2021, Ali Çelik, a member of the “Extended Division Conference” of the Vienna Chamber of Commerce, received the highest economic award “Golden Hallmark of the Vienna Trade Division” from the WKO Vienna.
