The 200,000 tickets for Paléo sold out in record time – rts.ch

by time news

Thousands of music lovers engaged on Wednesday in the ritual of purchasing tickets for the 47th edition of the Paléo Festival which will take place from July 23 to 28 in Nyon (VD). It only took 21 minutes to sell the 200,000 tickets available, which constitutes an absolute record.

While the queue opened at 11:45 a.m., ticketing launched at noon on Wednesday. The first evening to be sold out was that of Sunday (Mika, Gims and Christophe Maé) in 7 minutes, declared Bastien Bento, spokesperson for the Festival to Keystone-ATS.

This was followed by Tuesday (Burna Boy, Sean Paul and Patti Smith) in 8 minutes and Saturday (Booba, The Blaze) in 10 minutes. The rest of the sesames disappeared in about twenty minutes. Six-day subscriptions also found takers very quickly.

“It’s exceptional, we are in shock,” says the spokesperson. “This enthusiasm demonstrates the incredible loyalty of the public and a program that speaks to a wide range of festival-goers.” Last year, tickets sold out in 41 minutes.

Present from 2:30 a.m.

On the Paléo site, the first people arrived on site at 2:30 a.m. Around 200 people waited to buy their tickets at the ticket counters. The sale was still in progress at the end of the morning, said Bastien Bento.

For those who do not have tickets, a ticket exchange will open on March 27, allowing you to resell an excess ticket or purchase one at official prices. Tickets will be regularly put back on sale based on feedback.

Finally, during the festival, 1,500 tickets will be on sale each morning on the Paléo website at 9:00 a.m., for the same evening. No tickets will be sold at the box office.
