Varisu Movie Review: Last year’s film Beast, starring Vijay, did not receive the expected response. Because of this, there was huge expectation for Vijay’s next film. Because it was expected to give a blockbuster hit to overcome the failure of Beast.
Also, ever since the announcement that Vijay’s film ‘Varisu’ directed by Telugu film director Vamsi was released on Pongal day this year, expectations were high on the film. Currently, the film is slated to release four days before Pongal, on Jan. Released today, the 11th.
Rashmika is paired opposite Vijay for the first time in this film. Varisu also stars Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Prakashraj, Radhika, Shyam and SJ Suriya.

Vijay’s father Sarathkumar is a big businessman. He had three sons in total. The third son is Vijay. While the first two sons listen to their father’s words and take care of his business, only Vijay leaves the house saying that he will stand on his own feet. At some point a situation arises where Vijay has to come back home. What happened next is the rest of the story of Varisu.
As usual Vijay is amazing in his acting and singing language. Especially in Varisu, he has shown his performance extra well. In the second half, whistles fly for every verse spoken by Vijay. Sarathkumar and Shyam got the most applause after Vijay. Thaman, who has composed the music for the first time for a Vijay film, has entered into Pinnani’s music.
The question was how a Telugu film director is going to make a film suitable for Tamil people. But director Vamsi has broken all that and proved who he is. Poet Vivek is amazing in verse and lyrics.
The second half is a treat for the fans. Every character in the film is given importance. Even though they appear only briefly in the story, they fit the scene perfectly. The first half moves a little slowly but once the story starts heating up it moves at a jet pace. As Dil Raju, the producer of Warisu said at the music release ceremony of the film, he had said that dance, fight, Vijay’s body language and emotion are all mixed together. Similarly, it is noteworthy that the film has been released commercially.
