The Villa de Mazo City Council collaborates in the organization of the WTE Fight Championship that will receive local and peninsular athletes belonging to the discipline of mixed martial arts. The 17th edition will be held this Saturday, March 9, in the David Jiménez Silva pavilion at 6:00 p.m.
The mayor of Villa de Mazo, Idafe Hernández, states that “these events are important for the development of sport on the Island and in the Canary Islands.” He also adds that this show contributes to leisure and cultural activities for the population of the municipality.
The organizer and promoter of WTE, Airam Ramos, points out that this edition of MMA combats advances towards the goal of being one of the best mixed martial arts promoters in the Canary Islands and Spain.
The main objective is to offer a good performance of this sport for the enjoyment of the public and celebrate one of the best events in the Canary Islands. In addition, spectators will be able to enjoy eleven fights, six amateur fights and five professional fights. There will be two female fights between palm trees athletes, a heavyweight fight and a fight between two great national professionals.
