The Small Shareholder Association from Valencia CF (APAVCF) has reported to the Prosecutor’s Office the Real Madrid coach, Carlo Ancelotti, for the events that occurred in the recent Valencia-Real Madrid match and that triggered the Vinicius case.
The white coach, despite later rectifying, branded Mestalla as a whole -that is, to the total computation of the Valencian fans-, of racist after having proffered, a few fans who have already been identified and expelled for life from the stadium, racist insults to the Brazilian.
It did not sit well with the Valencian fan that the Real Madrid coach crossed out an entire fan base for the conduct of three supporters. The fans who made gestures and called Vinicius ‘monkey’, from the Mario Alberto Kempes stands, were arrested by the National Police accused of alleged hate crimes and later released.

Valencia CF condemned all kinds of acts related to racism in football and despite acting with lifetime ban against the aforementioned authors of the racist insults, he was sanctioned with the total closure of the stands and a financial fine.
Be that as it may, the APAVCF has denounced Ancelotti’s statements before the Prosecutor’s Office. “He treated an entire stadium with 46,002 spectators as racists (…). He transmitted some false accusationspossibly intentionally, and as a consequence of them, Valencia CF has seen its image damaged, as well as that of its fans,” says the APAVCF.

We inform you that in defense of the shareholders, season ticket holders and fans of Valencia CF and in view of the sad events that occurred in previous days, we have filed a complaint against the Real Madrid coach, S. Ancelotti, for the statements he made at the end of the match. Valencia CF – Real Madrid where:
1. He treated an entire stadium with 46,002 spectators as racist, after what happened with the player Vinícius, before the media present in the Mestalla Press Room.
2. He transmitted some false accusations, possibly intentionally, and as a consequence of them, Valencia CF has seen its image, as well as that of its fans and shareholders, harmed. What’s more, the diffusion power that these words have as a Real Madrid coach, have also damaged the image of the Valencian Community by associating it with widespread racism.
From the APAVCF we do not rule out in the future and seeing the development of this action to go one step further and file a lawsuit for libel against Mr. Ancelotti.
We attach the document presented to the Valencia Prosecutor’s Office dated June 1, 2024 where a more extensive explanation is given and we repeat the damages caused by these false words.
