Violence has become the main problem, according to the opinion of the residents of the city of São Paulo.
It is the first time in 11 years that security surpasses health care as the main concern of São Paulo, which used to top the list of problems in the capital, according to a Datafolha survey.
The study points out the issues that could influence the electoral debate in 2024, when the municipal elections are held. Security, health and public transport appear as the main concerns of the population. 1,092 people were interviewed in the town on August 29 and 30, with a margin of error of three percent up or down.
Compared to the last time the survey was conducted in 2020, concern about violence in the city of São Paulo has increased by ten percent, from 12% to 22%.
