A video posted on Twitter by Now This News shows the Qianzhou Bridge collapsing due to extreme heat. The bridge is said to be about 20 years old. On the day the bridge collapsed, temperatures were above 40 degrees Celsius. The video was taken on July 23, according to CNN. The 25-second video has been viewed by more than 1,52,300 people on Twitter.
A fortnight ago, China recorded a record high temperature. The Associated Press reports that scores of people have been hospitalized for heat stroke in several regions. The AP report adds that climate warming may be responsible for more catastrophic weather events.

Videos of bridge collapses are widely available online. In a video that went viral on social media in February this year, a small bridge can be seen being washed away by floods after Cyclone Franklin hit the UK. The video also shows debris piled up near the bridge before it collapsed. That video also went viral.
