Vivacom won first place in the Human Capital Investor category for its Summer Internship Program in the 2023 Annual Responsible Business Awards of the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum.
“We are delighted to receive this high recognition specifically for our Summer Internship Program. It comes fully deserved, after last year we celebrated the 20th anniversary edition and upgraded it with new initiatives. They made the program even more attractive and effective for the great young people who got involved. 51 interns went through our Summer Internship Program, and half of them stayed with the company. The award comes just in time for the launch of the 21st edition of our Summer Internship Program”, shared Malina Chavdarova, Human Resources Director at Vivacom.
For the 20 editions, more than 1,650 trainees have gone through Vivacom’s Summer Internship Program, of which each year over 40% continue their career development in the company, and over 20% of all employees in the company have started their development as interns.
“Investor in human capital” is the second major award for Vivacom’s employer policy, after at the end of 2023 the company was awarded “Favorite Employer” in the prestigious awards for the best employer in Bulgaria – Career Show Awards 2023.
The national competition of the Bulgarian Forum of Business Leaders distinguishes the contribution of business to the construction of a fair and stimulating working and social environment. In the awards this year, 82 companies competed in 7 categories, and for the prize “Investor in human capital” Vivacom ranked first among 18 companies.
