London: (www.kvartha.com) British fashion designer and activist Vivienne West Hood has died. He was 81 years old. He died at his home in Clapham, South London.
The family shared the news of Vivian’s death on social media with this note. ‘He spent his last days doing what he loved. She found time for designing and writing books. Through it they worked for the change of the world. They led great lives. The impact they have made in the last 60 years is enormous’- says the note.
Vivian played a major role in changing the world through her fashion experiments. They started the punk fashion. She wore a self-designed dress for her own wedding in 1962.
She started her career in 1970s. They have brought big changes in the field of urban street style. She was also careful to express her politics through fashion. Many famous people, including the British Queen, have shone in the clothes designed by Vivian.
