The social network “Vkontakte” this summer will launch free group video calls with a maximum number of participants in 2048 people, according to the press service of the social network.
“Not only organizations with large resources, but also every user who wants to share content with the audience will be able to conduct large-scale online meetings based on VKontakte calls,” the message says.
The company emphasized that there are no duration restrictions in video calls, and you can join the conversation using the link with the invitation without a profile on the social network.
“Participants of the online meeting will hear each other even when the street is buzzing around, cars are rushing around or neighbors suddenly started repairs. Also, for silence “in the hall” it is enough to turn off the microphones of all participants and choose whether they can turn them back on, ”the company said.
Vkontakte launched group video calls in September 2020, the maximum number of participants at the moment is 128 people.
