The Football Association published this morning the game schedules in the leagues of the first children’s yearbook. We immediately distributed the boards to the members of our WhatsApp groups. The football association decided to implement the recommendations of the youth committee and place leagues according to club rankings. We are talking about leagues in which a different number of teams will play, who will play 26 games – not necessarily in a home and away system and not necessarily every team will meet during the season a team that was placed with them in the league. These are the problems we found:
*. In the central district, which is considered the only district that includes tier 1 clubs, there are 44 teams, some of which are second teams and “reconciliation” teams of senior clubs. You can also find in the list clubs whose teams have not been placed in the top leagues for years. The quality differences in some of the games will lead to heavy defeats for teams, for players who will experience mental anguish and for some of them will cause them to retire from the game.
*. Huge geographical distances in some leagues. Examples: in the center district the northern point is Sakhnin and the southern point is Be’er Sheva, in the coastal district there are teams from the Haifa region, teams from the Upper Galilee, the Western Galilee, the Lower Galilee and the Gilboa – which will require many teams in almost every away game to rent transportation for away games, something that will put a heavy burden on their pockets of the parents, many of them come from a low socioeconomic status.

Although there is talk of Sabbath-keeping leagues, which will contain teams that don’t want to play on the Sabbath, in some leagues you can find “reconciliation” teams alongside regular teams – which may make it even more difficult in the case of midweek games on coaches who will have to lose work hours and students who will have to lose study hours.
Alongside all of these, you can also find leagues such as Sharon, Shapela, Jezreel and Samaria, which belong to tier 3, which will have 14 teams in each league and will be conducted in the competent method of two rounds of games, home and away games – which in the opinion of the writer of these lines is the most correct and logical method to implement.
