Volodin urged business not to profit from people

Russia’s food security is ensured, the Russians will not be left alone with problems, said State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin. In the current conditions, business needs not to cash in on people, but to reconsider approaches, the speaker of the State Duma believes.

“Business should in no case profit from people, it is necessary to reconsider approaches, initiate solutions on their own that will remove problems, even at the cost of personal profit,” Volodin wrote in his Telegram channel.

Russia will overcome any challenges, while Washington and NATO, which unleashed an “unprecedented economic war” against the country, are expecting “panic and tension in society,” Volodin said.

He recalled that at the beginning of the pandemic in Russia there were also problems, but then “everything returned to normal.” Volodin noted the deputies’ support for the work of the Ministry of Industry and Trade to reduce metal prices.

“Foreign markets that stimulate price growth have shrunk, so the cost within the country should decrease not only for metal, but also for other goods,” the State Duma speaker wrote.

Earlier, Volodin declared the inadmissibility of artificial price increases against the backdrop of sanctions. According to him, in some regions, food prices have doubled, and baby food, diapers and medicines have also risen in price. At the same time, suppliers have the necessary stocks of goods, which means that the price increase is unreasonable, the chairman of the State Duma noted.
