(ANSA) – BRUSSELS, JUN 16 – The president of the EU Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, opens her tour to announce to member states the approval of their Recovery plans with the Covid pass in hand. “The certificate regulation was signed on Monday and will be applied from 1 July, but Member States can do it voluntarily first and that’s what Belgium did, which now allows you to travel with the certificate. Here’s mine.” von der Leyen announced before leaving for Madrid and Lisbon – the first two countries to be approved for the PNRR -, showing the pass issued by the Belgian authorities on his smartphone. “All those who are fully vaccinated or have tested negative for a swab or are cured of Covid can get one”, recalled the EU president, underlining that at the moment 15 member states have already started the system.
