Dewaram: Plastic water tanks in Dewaram municipal area are getting damaged and not being repaired, water is being wasted.
A water tank was set up through borewell in many streets including South Street Main Road, North Street, Soudhamman Kovil Street leading to Dewaram Municipality Office, in areas where there is no public drinking water pipe.
On days when drinking water was not available, borewell water was used as drinking water.
In some streets, water tanks are useless as showpieces due to broken borewells.
In more than 20 streets, water tanks are damaged and not repaired for months, so water is wasted.
Due to this, the electric motor wears out, electricity is wasted and the municipality is suffering financial loss.
The borewell should be repaired and the damaged tank and pipelines should be replaced and the water tank put into use.
