Naukas BCAM, Pi Day will be celebrated on Thursday, March 14, 2024
Thursday March 14, 2022we will celebrate a new edition of the special event dedicated to mathematics at the Bizkaia Aretoa (UPV/EHU) in Bilbao: BCAM NAUKAS, Pi Day. This event is carried out thanks to Basque Center for applied Mathematics and the Chair of Scientific Culture from the University of the Basque Country, and will feature some of the most interesting figures in mathematical dissemination in our country. As usual, the event will be held at the Bizkaia Aretoa (C/ Abandoibarra 3, Bilbao).
BCAM-NAUKAS will have during the morning mathematical workshopsto bring mathematics closer to primary and secondary school students in a playful and attractive way.
In the afternoon, we will continue with the celebration of this day through 15-minute, dynamic and close scientific talks that will be given in the Mitxelena room in Bizkaia Aretoa, through which we will learn about the properties and applications of the number pi in everyday life.
We will soon publish the program of talks, workshops and activities but, in the meantime, you can now organize your agenda so as not to miss the first Naukas event of 2024… See you very soon!
