During the 23rd regular meeting of the Football Federation of Armenia, before the election of the FFA executive committee members, the president of the federation Armen Melikbekyan addressed the issue of the selection of the coach of the national team of Armenia.
“In the opinion of many, the issue of choosing the head coach of the national football team of Armenia is delayed, but it is connected with many factors. In addition to the fact that we must have a highly qualified coach, we must also understand the motivation of the candidates. During the interviews, we try to find out whether they realize the importance of the upcoming election round for the national football team of Armenia. We prefer to choose the coach of the football team later, but be sure that it is the right choice. We want to be sure that the head coach of the national team understands the importance of the development of Armenian football,” said Melikbekyan.
According to him, the executive committee to be elected today will discuss the issue of choosing a coach in the very first session and will make a decision, and the coach will be appointed already in January.
