Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Water Resources confirmed that it has achieved success in investing rainwater and floods to increase water storage in dams and reservoirs.

Director General of the General Authority for Dams and Reservoirs in the Ministry of Water Resources, Ali Radi, told the (INA): “Iraq has suffered in recent years from water scarcity, lack of water revenues, and a significant decline and decline in water reserves, in addition to climate changes during the previous four seasons.” .
He added, “The Ministry was able to benefit from the recent rains and torrential rains and exploit the water greatly to enhance water storage in dams and reservoirs.”
He continued, “The Fourth Baghdad International Conference discussed many topics, the most important of which was confronting climate change and the scarcity of water revenues, through coordination and cooperation between countries, especially riparian countries.”
He pointed out that “the delegations that attended the conference were high-level, including the delegation of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the delegation of the Republic of Turkey, in addition to many international and international organizations and experts interested in this field,” indicating that “the size of the delegations and the ministerial representation of Arab water resources ministers was high.”
