“We want to make the effort”: how sports arenas fight for energy savings

To awaken the green spirit of those involved in the world of sport, the French Institute for building performance tickled their competitive spirit. Ten years after the launch of the Cube competition, the French Energy Savings Championship, the IFPEB has created a category for sports infrastructure. The energy sobriety plan has been there and, since the fall of 2021, the decree imposing on tertiary buildings of more than 1,000 m2 a 40% reduction in energy consumption before 2030, applies to stadiums.
