In recent years, it seems that every reality show tries to surpass the other in the level of the bizarre characters that participate, but there are none better than the casting department of “Let’s eat with me”, the successful food reality show of Kaan 11, which at least in its last three seasons (out of five) became a real cult, and then swelled to dimensions monstrous and became a breeding ground for the next reality stars. Yes, anyone who wants their 15 minutes of fame will have to pass at least 2 around a table. This is not a joke, there is a possibility that Benny Ziper will appear at this table.
The sixth season, it seems according to the teasers that have been distributed, is going to push the whirlwind of types that they like to bundle together to the limit. The episode that will be broadcast today includes, among others, a member of the bear community, Hani Porcelina, a trans man and a few more surprises. The meeting between all of the above naturally produces friction, competitiveness and of course – salmon. Lots and lots and lots of salmon.
At the same time as its success, the last seasons of “Let’s eat with me” attracted quite a few voices of criticism – what hasn’t been said about it? That she crossed over to the Cringe Districts? That she does a disservice to Mizrahim? That she is racist, bigoted and has an old-fashioned conversation? And that’s just what we said! However, and as much as Shai Avivi’s shtick filters sarcastic jokes, it wears off a bit – it is hard to say that we will endure. There is some silly fun in this competition, and as long as you don’t take it as more than another trashy reality show designed to fool us for a while, you can really enjoy it. The main thing is that there are more delusional than us, isn’t there?
