Chennai: As the Tamil Nadu government’s budget for the coming financial year is being prepared, out of the 3,345 notifications issued in two years, orders have been issued to implement 2,879 notifications.

Every year in Tamil Nadu, announcements regarding new projects are made in the form of Governor’s Speech, Budget, Response to Grant Request Debate, Report under Rule 110 etc.

In this case, after DMK comes to power in 2021, the third budget will be submitted soon. For this purpose, budget preparation, department wise announcements for new projects are going on briskly.

In relation to the implementation of the notifications issued in the last two years, departmental secretaries, ministers and chief ministers are being investigated at various levels. The details regarding the processing of notifications are being investigated by the higher authorities.

In this regard, a senior official said: In Tamil Nadu, 2021-22; During FY2022-23, 3,345 new notifications were issued at various levels. Of this, 852 notifications have been issued by decree and the schemes have come into effect.

Also, orders have been issued for 2,027 notifications and work has been started. There are 32 notifications pending for central sanction related activities and 434 notifications pending issuance of ordinance.

In this, Departmental Secretaries have been directed to immediately issue decrees and administrative orders for all possible notifications.

The Government has also directed the Departmental Secretaries to immediately take steps to cancel the notifications which are not in a state of implementation. This is what he said.
