Most students or children who have taken academic leave or not enrolled in educational institutions want to find temporary employment. But vacancies often do not meet their expectations. What offers on the labor market of the Sverdlovsk region can be trusted and what employers require from young applicants, Avito Rabota experts told RG.

The platform now hosts 19 thousand vacancies for young people, more than 4500 of them are suitable for candidates without experience. Thus, in Yekaterinburg, the number of vacancies in this segment increased by 2.4 times, and with a remote work schedule – by 3.5 times. Newcomers are hired as an administrator, consultant, operator in the field of logistics, according to the regional representative of Avito Rabota in the Urals, Elizaveta Churina. In addition, they become couriers, photographers, catering employees.

In sales, the most popular profession in the market of mass professions, companies allocate two-thirds of their positions to young people. But you need to be ready to start as a sales assistant (his minimum salary is 27 thousand rubles) or a counter-inspector who goes to recount goods in the store several times a month, earning up to 3,000 rubles per shift. At the same time, the field of transport and logistics offers 60 percent of jobs to novice job seekers.

For those who want to get a job in production teams, the share of vacancies is less – 40 percent, if there is no length of service and specialty. Such candidates are taken mainly to low-skilled positions of laborers, loaders, sorters and order pickers. And those who have a secondary vocational education are employed in jobs that require applied skills: as a welder, seamstress, operator-adjuster. However, in large companies, such as the railway industry, graduates first gain experience in lower positions.

Mentoring in various areas of work also helps young cadres earn their first “penny”. For example, they can learn the skills of repairing household appliances, become an apprentice car mechanic or assistant florist. For creative children, the choice is even wider – from an animator on stage and a DJ in a restaurant to a coordinator of a children’s center. True, in any vacancy, especially for a part-time job, experts advise taking into account several factors.

Elizaveta Churina compiled the following checklist:

1. Look for vacancies on trusted channels, as ads on large recruiting sites are automatically moderated. Some services also check the employers themselves: they put up offers from organizations that have existed for at least six months and regularly pay taxes;

2. Read the responsibilities in the proposed vacancy (which should be clearly and as accurately as possible described). For example, the phrases “earnings are unlimited”, “rapid career growth” are often used in network marketing or financial pyramids;

3. Pay attention to the salary so that it is not lower than the market average. If in other companies and the one you are interested in, the difference in wages turned out to be more than 10-20 percent – this is a reason to be wary that the salary is “white” and an official labor contract is concluded with the employee;

4. A conscientious employer does not require money from you. If the company offers to pay for introductory training, paperwork or “booking” a vacancy, it is better to stop negotiations and not send her a copy of the passport with bank details;

5. You can independently check the data about the company on public services, for example, on the resources of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and Transparent Business. Including read the reviews of current or former employees of the organization.
