Indian actor Mithun Chakraborty was admitted to a private hospital in Kolkata yesterday after falling ill on the shooting set. Different information spread about the 73-year-old actor’s physical problems. Now the hospital authorities have released a statement on the matter.
According to the statement, actor Mithun Chakraborty came to the emergency department of Apollo Multispeciality Hospital in Kolkata at 9:40 am with pain in the right upper and lower part of the body. Necessary tests including brain MRI have been done. He was diagnosed with an ischemic cerebrovascular accident (stroke). He is now fully conscious and doing well.
Mithun Chakraborty is eating soft food on diet. At present, a neuro doctor, cardiologist and a gastroenterologist are under the supervision of a medical team consisting of doctors, the statement added.
Before the release of the statement from the hospital authorities, Mithun’s family spoke about his condition. Mithun’s elder son Mahakshay Chakraborty alias Mimo told Indian Express, “Dad is 100 percent fine and it’s a routine check-up.” Similarly, Mithun’s daughter-in-law Madalsha Sharma (Mimo’s wife) rubbished reports of Mithun having a stroke. In his words – ‘These are fake news.’
